This is a new kind of cowboy by the name of Cowboy Woody. Woody is one of the main characters in this Oscar nominated movie. We’ve seen Toy Story 2 and this year 2010, Toy Story 3. The cowboy story is quite unique, something that is as American as the Indians who were the original Americans. The western frontier life, with vast unfenced ranges where cattle roamed at leisure, called for an individual who was tough to guard the herds for the new settlers. Cowboy dress like leather boots, chaps, and cowboy hats took something from the Indians and the Mexican Gaucho which worked very well for his lifestyle. The cowboy still carries an aura of romance and nostalgia.
